Luckily, today’s hi-tech camping tent will often meet both concerns, easy to carry and providing adequate protection from the elements at the same time. Of course, such a design is sure to cost a premium, but how can one argue the cost of one’s life, even if one must one’s comfort and convenience?

Naturally, everyone has different levels of tolerance for danger, for perceived danger, and “YMMV” applies abundantly. It may not involve a long half-day hike up the nearest hill or mountain. After all, for some folks, simply being in the local park is spending time with nature.
